As with the beginning of every New Year, there’s no doubt many people out there are ready to kick-start their 2015 goals. No doubt most people have exercise and weight loss goals, or maybe resolutions towards being a more successful person. But, if you are reading this, no doubt your goals reflect mine and involve more travel.
So in an effort to provide you with a good start on day 1 of the new year, here is a list of 8 travellers to follow in 2015. Obviously, since I am recommending them, I love them all. Each one has a different style, different way of travelling, and I find them all inspiring. Some are on the road now, while others are leaving within a matter of days, or have epic plans a couple months down the road. Some travel solo, some don’t. Either way, they all have great stories to share and I honestly believe that if you are looking for some real inspiration to get on the road this year; this is where you will find it.
And so, without further ado, I present to you (in no specific order) my top recommendations of who to follow in 2015; that is, of course, assuming you aren’t following them already!
Sara-This Girl Loves
This Girl Loves is written by the lovely Sara; a bubbly 20 something lifestyle, beauty, and travel blogger based out of the UK. But don’t let the ‘beauty’ aspect and girly facade of this blog fool you; Sara has an EPIC year coming up. She has purchased a 1 way ticket to Asia, starting in Japan and has an envy-inducing itinerary through SE Asia. She’s one you will want to keep your eye on in the upcoming months, especially if you are planning an SE Asian adventure of your own.

Katie-World Wide Vegetarian
Katie’s blog, Word Wide Vegetarian, centres on her love for veggies and travel; culminating into a delicious website full of mouth-watering destinations and delicious looking recipes. After some European and North American travels in 2014, Katie has gone and gotten herself an Indian visa and is headed on an ‘indefinite’ adventure in an Indian yoga program. I don’t know about you, but I’m pumped to see how her experience goes!

Alex- Finding the Freedom
Looking for more Indian inspiration? Look no further than Alex’s blog Finding the Freedom. Alex is actually originally from Ottawa (same as me!) but has been living the nomadic lifestyle since 2011. He’s been living on the beach in India for the past few weeks, and having just purchased a motorcycle will soon be off exploring more of what India has to offer. And after that? Who knows, I don’t even think Alex does, so you better follow him to find out. Keep up with his journey at http://findingthefreedom.com/
Richelle-Adventures Around Asia
Is China on your list? If you said yes then you definitely need to check out Richelle’s blog, Adventures Around Asia. Originally from Seattle, Richelle started her Asian adventure in a study abroad program and loved the country so much she came back to teach, and is currently back taking her masters in international communications. This girl is your source for all things China; food, travel, and expat life, and has also toured around a fair chunk of Asia, with plans to see more in 2015. Look out for Richelle’s tips and advice at http://www.adventuresaroundasia.com/
Dave-Cook Sip Go
Travel blogger and photographer, Dave of Cook Sip Go knows how to hook people in. If it’s not with his killer photos (seriously, follow him on Instagram) of destinations, then it’s the photos of the food and cuisine he experiences on his travels. Dave spent most of 2014 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia using it as his home base to discover eastern Africa. What does he have in store for 2015? Well he has relocated to Kenya (SO excited for these pics) and has further plans to explore Spain and the Seychelles. Keep an eye on his awesome experiences at http://cooksipgo.com/
Paul-Have You Packed the Camera
Not many people get the chance to visit Antarctica, but Paul, photographer and writer of Have You Packed The Camera, crossed that off his list in November of 2014. So how do you top that? Well Paul seems to have it figured out. He’s booked a trip to Jordan in March and has an Arctic adventure on the radar for early summer. Jealous? I know I am. Feed your envy of his upcoming adventures at http://www.haveyoupackedthecamera.com/
For all those looking to escape their jobs and the ‘real world’- look no further than Anna of Slightly Astray. She’s been on the road since April 2014, travelling with her boyfriend D . Together, they have been across the globe over the past few months visiting countries in South America, Europe, and currently, Asia. If you are looking to overcome your own travel fears and take on the world, look to Anna for the best inspiration (and some really yummy food pics). Currently in Bangkok, this travel duo has Vietnam on their travel radar for the New Year. Follow along at http://www.slightlyastray.com/
Justin and Lauren- Justin Plus Lauren
Another travel power couple, these Canadian cuties are the faces behind Justin Plus Lauren a vegan travel blog. If long term travel isn’t on your radar, than these two are the ones to follow. Both work fulltime but still manage to get a fair amount of travel both within and outside of Canadian boarders. 2015 will see Lauren on a Caribbean cruise, and both of them are headed to Italy in May. Keep up with this adventurous couple at http://justinpluslauren.com/
As for me and my travel plans in the New Year? Well if you read my Best and Worst of 2014 post you will know I’m off to Ireland (for the 4th time in as many years) for an Irish wedding…and other than that? Well, I’m keeping my mouth shut for now until I sort out the details; but I have some big things planned, so be sure to stay tuned!
